Poli Ox™ is a concentrated cleaning formula that treats moderate to heavy oxidation.

It also removes the dirt, grime, old wax, spray-on ceramics, mold and mildew that accumulate on boats over time.

It all starts with a process called “oxidation.”

Heat, moisture, UV radiation from the sun breaks down the compounds in your gelcoat, giving it that tell-tale chalky appearance.

As the gelcoat degrades, dirt and grime are able to penetrate and stain. Colors fade. Mold and mildew begin to accumulate.

This process destroys the glossy shine all new boats have and makes them appear increasingly old and worn.

This process destroys the glossy shine all new boats have and makes them appear increasingly old and worn.

The good news is you can get that shine back.

Poli Glow® is a water-based, acrylic boat polish that binds to the gelcoat on your fiberglass surface to create a durable, glossy finish.
There’s nothing else like it on the market, but before you can apply Poli Glow®, you need to get rid of all the nastiness that’s making your boat look bad in the first place.
That’s where Poli Ox™ comes in. It removes the oxidation and stains to create a clean surface for Poli Glow® to seal and shine.

Poli Ox™ can be used to revive stainless steel, chrome, aluminum, bronze, brass, copper, and even decking and exterior finishes.

Poli Ox™ is safe for use on the following surfaces:

  • Fiberglass
  • Gelcoat
  • Clear coat
  • Metals
  • Glass
  • Rubber
  • Plastic
  • Vinyl decals
  • Most automotive or fortified paints.

Poli Ox™ is not safe for use on the following surfaces:
  • Brand new, unoxidized surfaces that still have a gloss
  • Household acrylic and urethane based paints
  • IInk printed or silk-screen decals and graphics
  • Bottom paint on Boats.

For over 25 years, Poli Glow® has been sealing and protecting boats all over the world, keeping them looking glossy and new.

Experience the #glossthatsboss for yourself.

If this is your first time using Poli Glow® products to get rid of oxidation, we strongly recommend you purchase our Poli Glow® Deluxe Kit..

Once you’ve used Poli Ox™ to remove the oxidation, you will want to seal and restore the colors and original shine of your boat with Poli Glow®, our boat polish.

The Deluxe Kit includes everything you need to restore and seal the gelcoat on your boat.

When to purchase an individual bottle of Poli Ox™

  • If you already purchased Poli Glow® but need to remove oxidation and staining from the surface of your boat before you apply it.
  • If you purchased a Poli Glow® Deluxe Kit and your boat is longer than 28 feet.
  • If your gelcoat was highly oxidized and you need a little extra Poli Ox™.
  • If you need to touch up some difficult scuffed areas and don’t have Poli Ox™ (please refer to the Poli Glow® Application and Maintenance Guide).
  • If you are stripping all the Poli Glow® from your RV (please refer to the Poli Glow® Application and Maintenance Guide).

Before applying Poli Glow® RV polish, remove any oxidation on your RV’s gelcoat surface with Poli Prep™ and Poli Ox™, depending on the oxidation level.

If this is your first time using Poli Glow®, please consider purchasing the Poli Glow® Deluxe Kit., which has everything you need.

A properly prepared surface should look uniformly dull without color changes or blotches. Some of the colors will still appear bleached or faded until Poli Glow® has been applied.

If you are applying maintenance coats of Poli Glow®, wash and dry the surface first with Poli Wash™. Remove any waxes or spray on ceramics by adding Poli Wash Pro™.

Directions for use:

  • Put on disposable gloves to protect your hands.
  • Moisten the non-abrasive scrub pad or the ultra fine sanding pad with water and sprinkle Poli Ox™ onto the pad. Gently rub Poli Ox™ into the pad to prevent spillage.
  • Wet the affected area and scrub with Poli Ox™.
  • For heavier stains and oxidation, use the Ultra-Fine Sanding Pad.
  • Rinse with water and repeat until the stain or oxidation is removed and the surface looks uniform without blotches.

Use Poli Ox™ in conjunction with Poli Prep™ to prepare your RV’s surface for Poli Glow®.

Please refer to the Poli Glow® Application and Maintenance Guide for detailed guidance.

At least once per year, wash your boat with Poli Wash™, treat any oxidation spots, and re-apply 3-4 coats of Poli Glow® to maintain your glossy shine.

When Poli Glow® is first applied, it can last up to a year or more in certain
conditions.

However, Poli Glow® was never meant to be a one-time application. Eventually, the Poli Glow® surface will oxidize like any other product or structure left out in the elements (albeit more slowly than alternatives).

The reason to regularly maintain the Poli Glow® finish is to prevent oxidation and the need to do heavier work when it does finally break down.

If maintained properly, Poli Glow® can last five to six years, and the heavier work
can be avoided.

Where you live determines how often you should apply maintenance coats. Boats in tropical climates require more frequent maintenance than boats in temperate ones.

Please refer to the Poli Glow® Application and Maintenance Guide for detailed guidance.

It works

No matter how many times I washed my motorhome including the roof, I would get white streaks after it rained. It was due to oxidation on the fiberglass roof. A RV detailer told me about the product. I almost didn't buy it because all the how to videos are two dudes talking the whole time and no actual how to. I think maybe they are intentionally vague so you buy the big kit not knowing what you actually need. Based on the recommendation I bought the poly ox only. I cleaned the roof and then when up with the poly ox. 1 hour later and very little elbow grease, my roof is clean and smooth. It looked like milk running off when I rinsed. I bought two poly ox because I didn't want to run out or have the scrubber give out before I was done. I used less than a 3rd of 1 bottle and the scrubber looks great. 37 ft motorhome roof. Sorry, I did not take a before. 2013 Winnebago adventurer. If those guys would stop talking and actually show you how easy it is they would sell more product.

What do they put in this stuff?

I was really skeptical when I started, but became a believer very quickly. The water in our marina is nasty. Lots of marine life, brown water, and it stains a white hull in only a short time. The brown water stains here had been accumulating over the past season and sat all winter. I followed the directions- wet the hull, sprinkled a small bit on the scrubber, and went over the dirty area. Scrubbed a lot at first and didn't see any result, then went back and read again. The five minute part is important. After that I really didn't do any more than sprinkle powder on the scrubber and walk down the waterline, re-applying every 5-8 feet, let it sit for five minutes, rinse off. In the clean photo I cleaned 40 feet of waterline in less than 15 minutes, barely scrubbed. Totally sold on this stuff.

Poli-glow definitely works. The negative feedback is generally due to someone trying to remove poli-glow. It's extremely difficult and when it hasn't been maintained it looks like skin peeling after a sun burn. I purchased a 41' sailboat with poli-glow. The poli glow was flaking off and had to be removed. It wasn't fun. In the end, I bought poli-strip and used an orbital sander and wet sanded thru it. Then I used poli-strip, then poli-prep and washed it down. From there I used poli-ox and poli-prep one more time...I basically used poli-prep along with lots of water to wash boat down. The poli-ox when used thick, like a paste, ate through most stains once poli-glow was removed. It took two-three days of prep. Application took half day per side. I used two kits. Also bought the rectangular special applicator (far better than their mitt). Make sure to have lots of disposable gloves. I don't think the chemicals will harm your hands much...I didn't have gloves for much of the prep work, but gloves are a must when applying poli-glow. Othnerwise your hand get very gunked up.

Good product

It works pretty well, but I had to do mine twice due to the heavy oxidation. Then a coat of wax and it looks almost new again
