What’s in the kit:

  • 32 oz. bottle Poli Glow®: Poli Glow® is a revolutionary boat polish and restorer that penetrates and seals the gelcoat on your fiberglass, protecting it against oxidation, dirt, oil, moisture, and harmful UV radiation.

  • 16 oz. bottle Poli Ox™: Poli Ox™ is a concentrated cleaning formula containing oxalic acid that removes moderate to heavy oxidation, stains, grime, old wax, spray on ceramics, and mold without damaging the gelcoat surface or vinyl decals.

  • 32 oz. bottle of Poli Prep™: Poli Prep™ is our concentrated cleaning formula used to create a clean and uniform surface for the application ofPoli Glow®. It helps to safely remove oxidation, stains, grime, old wax and spray on ceramics.

  • The Poli-Mitt™ Applicator: This applicator is a special mitt used specifically for Poli Glow®.

  • Non-Abrasive Scrub Pad with Handle: This white scrub pad is a non-abrasive and easy-to-use product designed to quickly remove oxidation, dirt and grime, light staining, mold, mildew, and black streaks when used with Poli Prep™.

We designed Poli Glow® to be a longer-lasting, glossier, and more complete restoration treatment than boat wax.

25 years ago, our founder asked a simple question:

Is there a better way to prevent fading and restore shine to boats than boat wax?

After years of experimenting in his Florida backyard, he eventually developed the proprietary formula for Poli Glow®.

The water-based acrylic polymer binds to the gelcoat on your fiberglass surface to prevent damage and create a durable, glossy finish.

But before applying Poli Glow’s high-gloss shine, it’s important to first remove the stains, grime, and discoloration that have accumulated from use and the elements.

This process is called “oxidation,” and it’s the cause of the fading and discoloration you notice on all boats with time.

The Poli Glow® Deluxe Kit provides you with all the tools you need to remove moderate to severe oxidation, then coat your boat with the most brilliant shine on the market.

Transform the look of an aging, faded boat by returning its original colors and shine. You’ll also slow down future oxidation from dirt, oil, moisture, and harmful UV radiation.

Unlike waxing, you don’t have to use buffers to apply Poli Glow®—just wipe it on with the Poli-Mitt Applicator™ and let it dry. Poli Glow® lasts for years with proper maintenance instead of growing cloudy and faded after only a few months.

For over 25 years, Poli Glow® has been restoring and protecting boats all over the world, keeping them looking glossy and new.

Experience the #glossthatsboss for yourself.

Please note: Poli Prep™ and Poli Ox™, which are included in this kit, are safe for use on the following surfaces:

  • Fiberglass
  • Gelcoat
  • Clearcoat
  • Metals
  • Glass
  • Rubber
  • Plastic
  • Vinyl decals
  • Most automotive or fortified paints

Poli Prep™ and Poli Ox™ are not safe for use on the following surfaces:
  • Brand new, unoxidized surfaces that still have a gloss
  • Household acrylic and urethane based paints
  • Ink printed or silk-screen decals and graphics

The Poli Glow® Deluxe Kit has everything you need to deal with a boat that has moderate to severe levels of oxidation and restore its shine. It’s our most popular kit for a reason.

When to purchase the Poli Glow® Deluxe Kit:

The Poli Glow® Deluxe Kit has everything you need to deal with a boat that has moderate to severe levels of oxidation and restore its shine. It’s our most popular kit for a reason.

For first time applications, you must remove any oxidation by preparing the surface with Poli Prep™ and Poli Ox™ before applying Poli Glow®.

A properly prepared surface should look uniformly dull, without color changes or blotches. Some of the colors will still appear bleached or faded until Poli Glow has been applied.

If you are applying maintenance coats of Poli Glow®, wash and dry the surface first with Poli Wash™. Remove any waxes or spray on ceramics by adding Poli Wash Pro™.

General application instructions:

  • Do not apply in the rain or on windy days

  • Avoid direct sunlight if possible

  • Ambient temperature should be between 65 and 90 degrees fahrenheit

  • Low to mid humidity—high humidity can cause the product to streak if not dry

  • Keep out of rain for 48 hours after application

Application steps:
  1. Put on disposable gloves to protect your hands.
  2. Cover ink-printed or silk-screen decals and graphics with plastic and tape.
  3. Wet the surface of your boat with water.
  4. Dilute the Poli Prep™ concentrate 3:1 water to product in a trigger spray bottle. Spray the solution onto the surface and scrub vigorously with the non-abrasive scrub pad, then rinse thoroughly with water.
  5. Repeat as necessary until oxidation has been removed.
  6. For stubborn areas, moisten the ultra-fine sanding pad with water and sprinkle Poli Ox™ onto the wet pad. Scrub the fiberglass or gelcoat vigorously, and more gently over the decals.
  7. The surface should look uniformly dull without color changes or blotches. Some of the colors will still appear bleached until Poli Glow® has been applied.
  8. If any residue of Poli Ox™ remains, take a few ounces of Poli Prep® or Poli Wash™ in a bucket with 3-5 gallons of water and wash the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Rinse well with water.
  9. Let your boat air dry or use our 550 GSM Microfiber Towel to dry your boat.
  10. Moisten the Poli-Mitt™ Applicator with water and wring it out so that it is damp and not soaked.
  11. Shake well, and drizzle several lines of Poli Glow® onto the Poli-Mitt™ Applicator. Wring gently to evenly distribute the Poli Glow®. Do not soak the mitt.
  12. Apply Poli Glow® in vertical or horizontal strokes (not circles) and work in four to six foot sections.
  13. Poli Glow® should be applied in thin coats, allowing several minutes for each coat to dry in between applications. Apply the next coat when the surface is not tachy and doesn’t feel wet, about 1-2 minutes.
  14. Allow to cure for 48 hours.

The recommended number of coats of Poli Glow® to apply depends on the UV index where you live. In general, you will need at least 6-8 coats for a first-time application.

Please refer to the Poli Glow® Application and Maintenance Guide for detailed guidance.

At least once per year, wash your boat with Poli Wash™, treat any oxidation spots, and re-apply 3-4 coats of Poli Glow® to maintain your glossy shine.

When Poli Glow® is first applied, it can last up to a year or more in certain
conditions.

However, Poli Glow® was never meant to be a one-time application. Eventually, the Poli Glow® surface will oxidize like any other product or structure left out in the elements (albeit more slowly than alternatives).

The reason to regularly maintain the Poli Glow® finish is to prevent oxidation and the need to do heavier work when it does finally break down.

If maintained properly, Poli Glow® can last five to six years, and the heavier work
can be avoided.

Where you live determines how often you should apply maintenance coats. Boats in tropical climates require more frequent maintenance than boats in temperate ones.

Please refer to the Poli Glow® Application and Maintenance Guide for detailed guidance and to review our Poli Glow® Coverage Chart.

Highly recommended!

I have a 1997 Rinker and the color and finish was very dull and faded. It took some work but I’m beyond happy with the results. Here are a few before/after pics

Excellent!

I have a 17 year old boat that I have neglected badly. Was very oxidized and faded. I have tried numerous fixes and nothing worked. Even paid to have ceramic coated last year. I saw this material and thought I would try it. Reviewed all the reviews and videos on application. I was amazed at the prep stage how it removed all the oxidation stains and made the boat even color. I spent a week on the prep to make sure the boat was ready. I applied the Poli Glow in an afternoon and was amazed at the appearance. Of my boat. It looks brand new. People said the mitt did not work but I wanted to follow process so I used the mitt and it worked great. Put 12 coats on my boat and did not use have the bottle. I also have seen some say it peels in a year so will have to see what it looks like next year, but following the process as outlined I am expecting it to look great for the next 5 - 6 years with proper maintenance. I could not be happier with the results. Pictures do not do it justice

16yrs later a Redo and again excellent

This is my 2nd time using Poli Glow on my 1996 Marada Executive Series 21ft run-about. My first time was in 2008 with a highly oxidized dark green gel coat. This boat was trailered and covered, but cover did not protect the green sides well. After much nervousness I had to wet sand the boat in 2008. 13hrs prep and intimidation the first time but when I applied my 6 coats the result was outstanding and transforming. I began telling everyone.
So here in 2024 after better covering the boat some small oxidation should up in various places, gas stains, rubs, and mottled places it was time after 16years to restore it. I bought the Poli Glow Deluxe Boat Restoration Kit and this was my first time using the Poli Ox. The Poli Ox powder worked great. I also used some of the Poly Prep. I did not need to strip all the old Poli Glow off as directions implied. I made this decision based on the condition of most of my gel coat. I did prep work for 6-8 hours and after a good rinse and thorough dry , I recoated next day with 6-8 coats. Again the boat looks like new. I highly recommend the Poli Glow product.

Marvelous!

I live in Florida and have a 2020 Thor 35M Windsport that was badly oxidized. Had a detailer attempt to restore the finish by buffing with very limited results and didn’t last one season. Followed all instructions and videos used Poli Prep, Poli Ox and Poli Glow (6 coats). It was a lot of work but so worth it. The RV now looks like it came off the showroom floor. Plan to maintain with Poli Wash and apply 2 new coats every 8-10 months to keep it looking good.

IT WAS NOT A DIFFICULT PROCESS. DOWN TIME BETWEEN STEPS WAS MINIMAL. WE WERE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE PROCESS IN ONE DAY. THE RESULTS WERE BETTER THAN I EXPECTED.

Awesome product

Have used polo glow on 3 different boats over the years. Amazed at how easy to apply and the final result . Will never go back to the traditional buffing and waxing method. I wish there was a polo glow for automotive paints.
