For optimal restoration results, proper preparation of the surface is critical. Aim for a uniformly dull finish that lacks color variations, blotches, or stains. It's helpful to remember that some colors might still appear bleached or faded until you apply Poli Glow® for protection and achieve the ultimate shine.
**Poli Prep® for Boat & RV Instructions for use:**
1. Start by wearing disposable gloves to safeguard your hands.
2. Protect any bottom paint and ink-printed or silk-screened decals and graphics with plastic and tape to keep them safe.
3. Wet the surface with water to prepare for cleaning.
4. In a spray bottle, dilute the Poli Prep® concentrate at a 3:1 ratio (water to product). Generously spray the solution on the surface, scrub vigorously with our white non-abrasive scrub pad with blue handle, allow the product to work for 1-2 minutes, and rinse thoroughly with water.
5. Repeat this process until all oxidation, blotches, and stains have been eliminated—your satisfaction depends on it!
Poli Prep® is designed to be safe for use on fiberglass, gelcoats, clear coats, metals, glass, rubber, plastic, vinyl decals, and most automotive or fortified paints.
Poli Prep® is not compatible with certain surfaces, including:
• Brand new, unoxidized surfaces that still shine
• Household acrylic and urethane-based paints
• Ink-printed or silk-screen decals and graphics
In cases where heavy stains remain or some oxidation persists, don't hesitate to use Poli Ox® and the ultra-fine sanding pad for additional cleaning. For all of your restoration needs, please pick up the Poli Glow® Deluxe Kit, which contains all the essential items for successful restoration.
