What Is Poli Glow?

Poli Ox™ is a concentrated cleaning formula that treats moderate to heavy oxidation.
It also removes the dirt, grime, old wax, spray-on ceramics, mold and mildew that accumulate on boats over time.
It all starts with a process called “oxidation.”
Heat, moisture, UV radiation from the sun breaks down the compounds in your gelcoat, giving it that tell-tale chalky appearance.
As the gelcoat degrades, dirt and grime are able to penetrate and stain. Colors fade. Mold and mildew begin to accumulate.
This process destroys the glossy shine all new boats have and makes them appear increasingly old and worn.

Poli Glow® is a water-based, acrylic boat polish that binds to the gelcoat on your fiberglass surface to create a durable, glossy finish.
There’s nothing else like it on the market, but before you can apply Poli Glow®, you need to get rid of all the nastiness that’s making your boat look bad in the first place.
That’s where Poli Ox™ comes in. It removes the oxidation and stains to create a clean surface for Poli Glow® to seal and shine.
Poli Ox™ can be used to revive stainless steel, chrome, aluminum, bronze, brass, copper, and even decking and exterior finishes.
Poli Ox™ is safe for use on the following surfaces:
- Fiberglass
- Gelcoat
- Clear coat
- Metals
- Glass
- Rubber
- Plastic
- Vinyl decals
- Most automotive or fortified paints.
Poli Ox™ is not safe for use on the following surfaces:
- Brand new, unoxidized surfaces that still have a gloss
- Household acrylic and urethane based paints
- IInk printed or silk-screen decals and graphics
- Bottom paint on Boats.

Once you’ve used Poli Ox™ to remove the oxidation, you will want to seal and restore the colors and original shine of your boat with Poli Glow®, our boat polish.
The Deluxe Kit includes everything you need to restore and seal the gelcoat on your boat.
When to purchase an individual bottle of Poli Ox™
- If you already purchased Poli Glow® but need to remove oxidation and staining from the surface of your boat before you apply it.
- If you purchased a Poli Glow® Deluxe Kit and your boat is longer than 28 feet.
- If your gelcoat was highly oxidized and you need a little extra Poli Ox™.
- If you need to touch up some difficult scuffed areas and don’t have Poli Ox™ (please refer to the Poli Glow® Application and Maintenance Guide).
- If you are stripping all the Poli Glow® from your RV (please refer to the Poli Glow® Application and Maintenance Guide).
Before applying Poli Glow® RV polish, remove any oxidation on your RV’s gelcoat surface with Poli Prep™ and Poli Ox™, depending on the oxidation level.
If this is your first time using Poli Glow®, please consider purchasing the Poli Glow® Deluxe Kit., which has everything you need.
A properly prepared surface should look uniformly dull without color changes or blotches. Some of the colors will still appear bleached or faded until Poli Glow® has been applied.
If you are applying maintenance coats of Poli Glow®, wash and dry the surface first with Poli Wash™. Remove any waxes or spray on ceramics by adding Poli Wash Pro™.
Directions for use:
- Put on disposable gloves to protect your hands.
- Moisten the non-abrasive scrub pad or the ultra fine sanding pad with water and sprinkle Poli Ox™ onto the pad. Gently rub Poli Ox™ into the pad to prevent spillage.
- Wet the affected area and scrub with Poli Ox™.
- For heavier stains and oxidation, use the Ultra-Fine Sanding Pad.
- Rinse with water and repeat until the stain or oxidation is removed and the surface looks uniform without blotches.
Use Poli Ox™ in conjunction with Poli Prep™ to prepare your RV’s surface for Poli Glow®.

At least once per year, wash your boat with Poli Wash™, treat any oxidation spots, and re-apply 3-4 coats of Poli Glow® to maintain your glossy shine.
When Poli Glow® is first applied, it can last up to a year or more in certain
conditions.
However, Poli Glow® was never meant to be a one-time application. Eventually, the Poli Glow® surface will oxidize like any other product or structure left out in the elements (albeit more slowly than alternatives).
The reason to regularly maintain the Poli Glow® finish is to prevent oxidation and the need to do heavier work when it does finally break down.
If maintained properly, Poli Glow® can last five to six years, and the heavier work
can be avoided.
Where you live determines how often you should apply maintenance coats. Boats in tropical climates require more frequent maintenance than boats in temperate ones.
